I was born in France, lived in Canada and the USA and came to England in 1977. I have lived in Taplow since 1988. I am married and I have 2 sons. When I was 10 years old a visit to the Musee du jeu de Paume in Paris had a great impact on my life..great paintings, colour everywhere. Paul Cezanne's work really touched my life. Also Van Gogh, Les Fauves, Matisse, the Scottish Colourists. In fact colour is my passion! I started to paint in the early 1990s, went to Art College to study Fine Art.

I use a variety of media but acrylics have become my favorite medium and because colour plays a key role in my approach to painting, acrylics enable me to express my life freely. I practise Nichiren Buddhism, I am a member of SGI-UK and the philosophy gives me the confidence and joy to express my life as it is. My work is about the wonder and energy of life and my aim is to communicate its essence. Painting gives me a way to touch people's lives. It is why I paint.

Nature is an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Anything that takes my breath away. I work from sketches drawn in plein air or I take photographs and re-create in my studio to produce paintings that hold and express the magic feeling of the moment. My paintings are happy paintings... Enjoy !!!!
