Susie Lipman was born and brought up in Taplow. She took a BA in Fine Art (Painting) at UWE Bristol following her Foundation Course at Bucks College, High Wycombe. She has taught at Faulkner House School in London's West End, and managed art and framing retail outlets in Maidenhead and London. She has a fine art publishing and picture framing company called Oberon Art which is based in Burnham, Bucks.
Susie has continued to undertake portrait commissions since 1990. She tries to emphasise the personality and character of the sitter, discussing loves and fears before deciding on the setting and formality required to suit the person individually. She is happy to accept commissions for landscape views and portraits in oil on canvas, charcoal, pencil or watercolour.
